Dry Lining

Plasterboard and metal stud systems are a fast, efficient and versatile method of interior wall construction. A cavity, to accommodate services, combined with technology to achieve fire and acoustic performance make this system ideal for a wide variety of applications. Components include:

  • • Metal studs and track systems - create strong, compact, lightweight non-load-bearing wall divisions, and the wall liners and perimeter tracks that conceal services, even out surface irregularities and line bare walls.
  • • Insulation – glaswool, mineralwool, rigid boards installed in the wall void
  • • Plasterboard – standard, fire rated and acoustic boards fixed to meta studs or track
  • • Ply lining – fitted between metal stud and board to provide addition strength.
  • • Finishing – tape and joint system to joins and sanded smooth to receive decorative finish
